Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Longevity Medicine Certification a course or a software platform?
It is both. The platform includes online certification training, a drug monograph library, patient roadmap tools, patient monitoring features, and practice-builder resources depending on the membership level.
Do I need to complete certification before using the platform?
Certification should be the foundation for platform use. Providers should understand the clinical framework before using roadmap and monitoring tools in patient care workflows.
Does the platform prescribe medications?
No. The platform does not prescribe medications. It provides education, reference content, data organization, and provider-facing decision support. The licensed provider remains responsible for diagnosis, prescribing, treatment, monitoring, referral, and patient-specific decisions.
Does the platform diagnose patients?
No. The platform does not diagnose medical conditions. It organizes patient data and supports provider review.
Does the platform include FDA-approved drugs?
Yes. The Drug Library may include FDA-approved therapies used in metabolic health, hormone care, sexual health, and other longevity-adjacent categories.
Does the platform include off-label or unapproved therapies?
Yes. The platform may discuss off-label, compounded, investigational, or unapproved therapies for educational, regulatory, safety, and risk-review purposes. Inclusion does not imply endorsement or recommendation.
Can medspas use the platform?
Yes. Medspas expanding into longevity, weight loss, hormones, peptides, or wellness can use the platform to support a more structured clinical workflow. All use must follow applicable medical, legal, supervision, and scope-of-practice requirements.
Can concierge practices use the platform?
Yes. Concierge practices can use the platform to support high-touch, biomarker-driven care and ongoing follow-up.
Can RNs use the platform?
Yes. RNs may use the platform for education, patient intake support, follow-up workflows, patient education, side effect tracking, and care coordination under appropriate provider direction and state scope-of-practice rules.
Does the platform replace an EHR?
No. The platform should not be positioned as a full EHR unless that functionality is actually built and legally supported. It can support clinical education, roadmap generation, patient monitoring, and documentation prompts that may be used alongside the practice’s existing systems.
Does the platform include HIPAA-compliant patient tools?
Patient-facing tools and provider dashboards should be developed with appropriate privacy, security, and compliance safeguards. If patient health information is stored or transmitted, practices should confirm HIPAA requirements, data handling policies, and business associate agreements where applicable.
Can I use the platform to build a membership program?
Yes. The Practice Builder resources can help providers structure longevity consultations, follow-up visits, lab review workflows, monitoring, patient education, and membership-based care models.
